Easter was the earliest it will ever be in any of our lifetimes-unless you live to be something like 270 years old! Usually it comes in April. This year it was in March. But that doesn't take away from the wonderful blessing of knowing that a Savior from sin, rose from the dead, as promised to redeem His otherwise lost and condemned people.
It was truly a situation of "March madness" as we saw the most innocent and holy man to ever walked the face of this earth being condemned and being brutally punished and slaughtered by the ruthless and rotten "churchgoing types" of His day.
We begin to understand why this would happen however, when we see the steep price which sin demands-DEATH and HELL-which Jesus paid in full for our forgiveness and salvation. His resurrection from the dead is the "cherry" on the top of the dessert as it proves that he was who he said and that God accepted His payment for the sins of the whole world.
What does that mean for you and for me? WE ARE FORGIVEN BY GOD...for all the rotten and ruthless things we have done and thought. We are heavenbound-through faith in Him instead of being hell-bound as our sins have deserved. Enjoy Easter everyday because it has daily meaning for our lives!!!
